Phantom ticking

Question

I have a Whilpool Gas Stove Super Capacity 465 a little over three years old.
I happen to come up last night and heard the "ticking" sound that I associate with the ignitor on the burners. It happened twice and lasted about three seconds each time. I don't smell gas and the burners seem to work fine when I tested them.
I did clean the stovetop yesterday with soap and water, removing all the pats and replacing them
