Pharaoh Loch looks for an upset at Hall Green
Since September 26, Pharaoh Loch has been on the podium constantly---with exception of October 6 race. Thus, the P. Wellon trained black dog is at the peak of form that makes him a strong candidate for tonight’s Bags Track Championship (dogs).
With rich experience and sheer momentum, the three-year-old veteran hound will deliver a whipping performance over the 480-metre racecourse of Hall Green in a bid to win the IT contest of £200.
On his way towards the finish line, Pharaoh Loch will have to face some arduous challenges posed by Ballingarry Shaw and Caribbean Gem, but the dashing dog is likely to cope with all despite being a slacker in the eyes of the punters.
Most of the dog’s fans claim that he is an underrated runner. This is true to some extent as the son of Kinloch Brae out of Kilara Fiona has bagged most of his triumphs without favourite tags.
Since debuting in January 2011, the brilliant sprinter has run and win in all the major formats of the game time to time. The best thing about his is consistency both in terms of starts and successes.
The last two months had been Pharaoh Loch’s peak time. On September 29, he marvellously finished first in the Crawford Cup Stakes by beating Helmet Henry with a narrow margin of four seconds.
He moved ahead to beat the favourite candidate, Ambleside Al, by the same margin to win an A1 race on October 13. It was an excellent performance indeed.
On 17th and 27th, the talented greyhound finished as the runner-up in two consecutive A1 races. That was followed by his 2-length clean victory of 31st.
These stats are superb indeed. They clearly tell how skilled the dog is. Tonight, Pharaoh Loch will cause great disappointment to the bettors who have underestimated him.
Among his rivals, Caribbean Gem is likely to perform well. The B. Hall trained black dog elegantly notched up top spot in the Tyler Memorial Race. Thus, he is enjoying great momentum these days.
In the playfield, Caribbean Gem will surely give a tough time to Pharaoh Loch. The spar between the two will be really amazing to watch.
