A Pharmacist Licensing Question?

I'm thinking about becoming a pharmacist. I heard that pharmacists in the US renew their licences every year. Do they have to take any tests? Pharmacists in my area have to pass a hard test every 6 years to keep their licences, and I heard that they basically have to study online almost every night to keep themselves informed of the latest medical news and prescription. Do they do that in the US? Thanks!

The pharmacists I work with need to complete continuing education credits every once in a while to stay current. This is in Wisconsin, U.S.
