why doesnt sydney get crowds like the broncos, 48000 broncos v gold coast

yet another stupid comment , could it have to do with sydney has suburban grounds something the afl got rid of 20years ago maybe people dont want to stand, and get wet if it rains and have 3rd world toilet and food facilities, but sydney fans still have the attitude of bring souths back to redfern and st george to kogarah, maybe when fans in nsw and the nrl get a brain and play all games at aussie and homebush then they will start to get crowds of 20 to 40000 instead of 5-7000

  1. i think its just the case as the grass is greener over thre fence because we were saying just the other week gee sydney pulls in the crowds at their football games compared to here in Queensland!!! Yahhhh we won the origin haha

  2. Its proball because Queensland is a bigger state than New South Wales.

  3. its very simple, nsw people would rather stay at home and watch it on tv than go to the games as they are not as good supporters like their queensland counterparts.

  4. there are only 3 teams in Queensland that's y they get that many people too the games . the problem with going to Aussie stadium is transport i know i work near by.

  5. Good question but this will spin you more crazy!!

Think aboyut the Sydney Swans. They get 20-25000 at the SCG everytime they play there and 60 000 at Telstra Stadium when they play there!!

Even in Melbourne today....pouring down rain at the MCG but they still had something like 17 000 at the MCG and that wasnt a special game either!

I dont know what you guys in Sydney do! Here in Brisbane, we get free public transport to a footy game when we have tickets and we also suck in all codes at the moment but we still get there in our thousands each and every week!

  6. I don't see why double headers at Olympic and Sydney Stadium can't be made to boost big crowds. I mean it creates value for money, its a 5 hour thing and people get to see more teams.

I live in the United States now and they have double headers for baseball here which sell out a lot.

  7. Only thing that makes sense 2 me is that in Sydney theres more teams in NRL than Queensland and not to mention Sydney have much more competition with other codes to compete with such as League, Rugby Union,AFL,A-League, where as Queensland dont, therefore get the crowds .Where as Queensland only have the Broncos and  Cowboys to go watch.Make sense??I hope. Therefore get bigger crowds.
