Manchester United defensive midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Phil-Jones-c29903 revealed he was confident hi former side Blackburn Rovers would improve in the upcoming year.
The 19-year-old is currently sidelined with an illness and is waiting to find out if he will be fit to face his former side over the weekend. Jones transferred to Manchester United in the summer transfer window for a fee of £17 million from the Rovers and
has come to be a major part of the Red Devils squad.
With United playing a day early than Manchester City, they have the chance to snatch the top spot from their Premier League rivals with a win over Blackburn Rovers. However, Jones was aware of what that would mean for his former side.

Jones said while speaking to reporters:
“I'm still a massive fan and have a lot of friends at the club.
As soon as we come off the pitch I always look to see how Blackburn have got on. I am sure they will kick on and things will improve.”
The youngster revealed he was still a fan of the club, where he began his footballing career. He admitted that he still followed the Rovers’ and their results day in and day out and was hoping they would do better to climb out of the bottom three of the
Premier League.
He revealed:
“Unfortunately they are at the bottom of the table but they are a lot better than their league position shows.”

“It's going to be tough.
