Phil who is recovering from this fatal disease seems much tensed about his current situation. The 40 year old golfing veteran is hoping high to win his fifth major at USPGA golf tournament.
While talking about his condition Phil said that he is feeling fit and currently his focus is towards his career. He added that psoriatic arthritis is a curable disease and he is using some medicines which are very useful. Phil told the media about his illness and said as far as his fitness level is concerned he is feeling 90 % fit and his treatment is sailing smooth.
The problem of arthritis happened just before the US Open golf tournament which was held in June and he has been using anti inflammatory medicines which are helping him well. Later Phil added that the medicines that he has been using had helped him in the Scottish Open Championship as well. Phil’s doctors are taking good care of him and from last two weeks Phil is being injected with a drug which according to doctors he has to take for at least one more year.
This world number two, American golfer, is showing no signs of bowing down to this mortal disease but the medication and treatment is no doubt causing a great deal of trouble for him. Phil, who is intending to appear in the next major golf championship, has been reported as suffering from intense pain and stiffness in his body which is not letting him practice easily. Phil seemed very depressed and expressed his views while talking about his situation by saying that he is not visiting his doctors anymore as he is feeling very frustrated and mentally disturbed.
However, he is very confident that he will defend and cure himself from the disease, as soon as possible. He said that getting out of this misery is his top priority and he will never lose hope at all. While talking about his greatest rival Tiger Woods, Phil said that his next target is to achieve the world number 1 rank and there is no one who can stop him from doing it. He later added that now he is very focused towards his future career and goals and he is seriously putting his full efforts to achieve them in a glorious way.
Arthritis might cause a hurdle in the way of achieving Phil’s goals but his strong will power is showing that he is ready and will never stop until he gets the glory. The world number two American ace golfer says that his focus is now to sharpen his skills for upcoming golfing events like Ryder Cup and FedEx Cup. While Phil is determined and fighting successfully against arthritis and showing no signs of weakness, on the other hand it is a very strong message for current world champion Tiger Woods who has been struggling due to his worst playing form. To keep his name on the top of the list Tiger will have to deliver his best as he cannot afford to lose a single chance of defending his current position. As a fan we can only hope for the best because golfers like Phil and Tiger are hard to find as they are the masters of stroke making and no doubt, golf icons.
