Phil Mickelson; ready to claim the Masters title once again- Golf NewsThe American veteran golf player Phil Mickelson is going to defend his title in the 75th Masters this week. Phil is in top form and has won a title last week as well. He has finished in top ten in eighteen previous tournaments at Augusta. But it is expected that the forty years old Mickelson will face a tough challenge from European golfers.Lee Westwood of England is top seeded in the tournament whereas players like Martin Kaymer and Graeme McDowell are also in fine form.Mickelson said that he knew every year the Masters event was getting tougher because better players were taking part in it.Talking about the level of competition, Phil said it would be one of the toughest tournaments for him to win. The current world number three continued that he would never underestimate any player on the course.He added that this was one of his favourite golf courses and he had always loved to play at Augusta.The former world number one Tiger Woods also seemed in high spirits for the tournament. He said that Mickelson was favourite to win the title but every player participating in the event would have a shot at winning the event.Woods is eyeing his eighteenth major title to equal Jack Nicklaus' record.When he was asked about his swing shot, he said that he had been working on it for long and was confident with it.Lee Westwood said that he was confident he would put up his best performance at Augusta.
