Phil Mickelson shines into the World Golf Hall of Fame!
Phil Mickelson’s name will now shine in the World Golf Hall of Fame. His name was included in the list of honour in November 2011, and will be conducted this month.
Mickelson started his professional career in 1992. He has a total of 48 professional wins to his name which includes 40 PGA Tour titles, 7 European Tour wins and one Challenge Tour title.
His performance at the PGA Tour has been outstanding, while his performance at the 2004 Masters took the world of golf by storm.
His famous 18-foot birdie was the star act in the final game against Ernie Els.
He has been an active member of the PGA Tour for over 15 years having 20 plus wins to his name.
Since 1996, Mickelson has been in the top ten of the tour’s ranking which has gone both ways for the golfer.
Mickelson has been criticised over the years for not reaching the number one spot, following his success in the PGA Tour.
In 2000, his name punched in the headlines after he defeated Tiger Woods, putting an end to his consecutive tournament victories.
His signature style of play has been extremely entertaining over the years.
His swing accuracy has been questioned many times but his excellent stats in short games have a lot to do with his swing.
He has a signature move to his name called the “Phil Flop” shot.
This shot is considered as the best signature shot in the world of golf.
After his win at the 2006 Masters, Mickelson went on to reach the 2nd spot in the OWGR (Official World Golf Ranking) which is Mickelson’s career best ranking so far.
His style of play is considered as aggressive and less technique oriented.  
His play is talked about as risky and contains a lot of gamble where precision is a second priority.
