Phil Mickelson worst #2 golf player ever?

Pretty ridiculous post, so if he's the worst #2 golfer then the rest of everyone is worse #3 golfer, worse #4 golfer etc does not make any sense. He wouldn't be Number 2 in the world if he wasn't and its exactly what the guy here said if it wasn't for Tiger as being the bench mark possibly quite the best to ever play people would sing a different tune. Phil is a risk taker and its fun to watch probably everyone that has something negative about him wouldnt have half the nuts to try some things he does in tournaments let alone relate with his skills. Even the announcer's were on his case, just stfu and let the man play.

Phil is a great player, but he is not real consistent like Tiger because he is always in the hunt when it comes down to the end. Phil is hit and mess most of the time.

Worst #2 ever?  I say no.  He may seem like he's the worst #2 ever, but I think it's just because the guy who is #1 is the best player ever.

That being said, Phil the Thrill leaves me scratching my head with some of his on-course decisions.

Might not be the worst "player" at #2, but it seems more and more like he is the worst thinker that ever got to #2.  Just makes too many dumb mistakes.  Here he is playing a course with a couple par fours over 500 yards, and par five over 600 yards and decides not to carry a driver for the first two rounds!!  Then he missed half the fairways anyway hitting 3 wood.  Golf is a thinking man's game, and he doesn't seem to have it mentally.

It's a joke that he's considered the #2 player. The media needs to start calling it like it is. There's no way he deserves to be mentioned in the same breath with Woods. I don't think he belongs in the top 10. He's becoming a joke.

by far not at all phil is truley a great player his only problem is that he is stubborn with his course management because he belives that he can play a shot from any where and pull it off some times he does some times he don't. any one who plays golf truley playes does this at some point it just so happens to phil at all the wrong times. if he would stick to a strick course management regimen he would be challenging tiger all the time as we seen earlier this year they were paired together all week (can't remember tournament) but phil took it to tiger all week because he had good course management if he can get back to this look out there will be some fire works.but phil has said that he plays the way he loves to play this is how he enjoys to play aggressive so it is hard to tell what will happen.
