  1. mj was good but id take larry bird over jordan .larry bird was the complete package he played in the best era .his team managed to win titles in a era which i believe had one of the best teams the nba has ever seen the la lakers at that time.jordan played in the 90''s less talent average teams his career was enhanced by this.larry bird had such a understanding for the game he seemed to know what to do and when to do it.you put the bird celtics against the jordan bulls and the bulls would lose period.oh and kobe is nt worth talking about hence my jordan bird arugment

  2. You DO know that there's a difference between "athlete" and "player".

Reggie Miller isn't an athlete but he's a top 5 shooting guard.

  3. Being the most athletic or the most talented doesnt make you the best. Rodman was the best PURE ATHLETE Phil ever coached, the best PHYSICAL SPECIMAN. Kobe is the MOST TALENTED Phil has ever coached, the most RAW TALENT. Michael Jordan is the GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN. There have been players more athletic than Mike, more talented then Mike, not many, but some, but there has never been another player with the kind of combination of athleticism, talent, skill, understanding of the game, will to win, and the pure killer instinct that Mike had. That is what made Mike the best, the combination of all those things, not just being the best or most of one thing.

  4. That just means that for all Jordan's 'greatness' Phil Jackson wasn't impressed. Probably, he thinks Jordan was overrated.

  5. most hard working

  6. Jordan = Overrated

  7. You need some reference?

    http://espn.go.com/page2/s/closer/020212...

"I never asked Michael to be a playmaker. That's the GREATEST PLAYER that I'VE EVER had, that I could consider the GREATEST PLAYER in the game, and I never asked him to be a playmaker in those terms. I asked him to be playmaker when he was doubled or tripled" --- Phil Jackson

    Now that's a direct quote.

"...There's a lot to learn from Michael." --- Kobe Bryant

    Hope this helps.

I thought Phil Jackson was coaching Kobe already in 2001? LOL.

Man you need to research. LOL.

October 2001, on MJ's debut with the Wizards: "Michael is the personality of this sport, he's Babe Ruth reincarnated."

"After coaching him for eight seasons, I still marvel at how much Michael's enthusiasm energizes us, even at practice. I mean he never takes a day off. As a player, I had only modest skills, so I always had to operate at a maximum effort to compete. His work ethic is an important personal bond between us. ... Being Michael's coach has been an unmitigated joy. But even more important than our professional relationship, I consider Michael to be a friend."

LOL. Haters. How I love destroying your one-sided arguments. LOL.

  8. "Kobe has the greatest allaround game then any player I ever coached"...I asked Kobe to be a playmaker and he's surpassing my expectations , I never asked Michael to do those things" - Phil Jackson 2002

end of Question.......I love destroying all these MJ Jockers!

  9. hes a beast with a weird attitude

  10. Rodman is the most athletic player ever, not the greatest.

If you put Rodman in baseball, he would be one of the greatest hitter ever.

If you put Rodman in boxing, he would destroyed many opponents.

If you put Rodman in football, he would be one of the toughest guy in that league.

If you put Rodman in hockey, he would push anybody who hinder his way.

If you put Rodman in gymnastic, he would made a triple back flip as simple as breathing.

Michael Jordan is good basketball player but if you put him in other sports, he will not excel.

Remember, he played baseball and you know what's the result of it.

  11. Even Kobe admitted that JORDAN IS THE GREATEST BASKETBALL PLAYER EVER PLAYED THE GAME!

    G0t it? Go0d!!!!

  12. if you guys know phil Jackson he says stuff to motivate people. he is not going to dis kobe while he is coaching kobe right now. You also have to look what he says.  Rodman most athletic,  Kobe most talent.  If you ask Phil who is the best player which probably combines a little bit of everything am almost sure he would say MJ.

I think what separates Jordan from everyone else is his will to win.  Kobe  and other have talent to win but if you look at Paul Pierce this past playoff you saw someone who took his team on his shoulder and won and that was what Jordan was all about.
