Philadelphia 76ers 49 – Los Angeles Clippers 46:
Halftime Analysis

The 23-year-old 76ers guard, Jodie Meeks, led all scorers with 14 points, hitting seven of 10 field goals as the Philadelphia 76ers trailed the Los Angeles Clippers 49-46
at halftime on Wednesday night at Staples Center.
The 28-year-old guard Mo Williams toped the Clippers with nine points and five rebounds;Clippers have lost five of their last ten games of the season 2010-11.
The match was of great importance for the Sixers, as they have not put up with a three-game winning streak since November 25-26.
The Clippers, on the other hand, had already won both of their last two games against Philadelphia. In addition to that, the Clippers were very solid at home, averaging
105.2 points in their last 13 contests.
First Quarter Recap
Philadelphia and Los Angeles played the opening quarter at crisp pace. The Sixers went on a 4-0 run in the opening minute to control the contest from the start. Williams
then got his shooting touch back and scored the next seven points for the Clippers to put them ahead by two points (7-5). Centre DeAndre Jordan’s put back dunk ballooned Los Angeles lead to four points. Philadelphia went on a 13-0 run to make it 20-9 for good
with six minutes to go in the quarter. The Clippers scored eight unanswered points in the last three minutes of the quarter, tying the game at 24-24 after one quarter.
Second Quarter
The Sixers came out hot in the second quarter. With 04:46 left in the quarter, Philadelphia led by 37-32 after the centre Spencer Hawes’ reserve lay-up shot from the corner.
The Clippers scored the next five points to tie the game at 37.
Los Angeles went on a couple of runs to take the lead but they have not figured out a way to slow the Sixers offense in the least bit. Philadelphia held a 49-46 advantage
at halftime. Hopefully, the third quarter update will have some stats attached to it. But that remains to be seen.
