Turning point
The victors triggered an 11-4 run as they led the game by one point, 88-87. With just 2:36 left in the game, Williams shot a three pointer that accelerated an eight point advantage for them. The victorious team never relinquished.
Quotable from the game
Williams summarized his game history in a logical manner as he said, "We got off to a slow start, but we weren't about to let it slip away. We lost two tough games to these guys already. We were determined to get this one." Yes, you did Sixers!
Hottest player
Holiday showed the true Jrue hiding inside him as he played a wildly offensive game. The 20-year-old put on a deadly assault to devour all the shots that came his way. The player shot 10 for 14 from the field, scoring 26 points and dishing out nine
assists for his teammates. The player hit shots from those angles that would have otherwise been impossible to secure.
Weakest player
JaVale McGee was lacking in offence and defence. He shot 2 for 6 for the losing team. The 22-year-old and 7ft tall player could only score four points in 24 minutes of his game.
Better among the worse
Rashard Lewis, who plays forward for the Washington Wizards scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to score the losing team some good numbers.
Quote it!
Holiday assembled his game in a few simple words as he later commented, "I was just being aggressive. I was trying to get into the paint, which was one of the biggest things against this team."
Under coach’s confidence
Doug Collins, Philadelphia’s coach made the right decision when he moved Andres Nocioni. The 31-year-old kept his coach’s trust and put up a strong defence in his team’s front to get some marvellous baskets. The Argentinean player grabbed 10 rebounds and
was sensational in the fourth quarter.
Watch out Wizards
Holiday became a shock for the Wizards. The player was too troublesome to handle. Initially, the Wizards underestimated the young player and did not make an effort to get close to the player. Later, he became a pain in the neck as the point guard had enough
chances to pin down his baskets freely. Here is a suggestion for the Wizards: Never trust your enemy!
