Philadelphia Area Children's Birthday Party?

My son turns 1 years old in September. I'm looking for a place to throw him a birthday party! PLEASE HELP!!!! Everything is so expensive!

  2. Well, you didn't say where in Philly, that makes a difference.  That said, if I can make a suggestion...

    If your son is 1, he is not going to care where the party is, nor remember the details.  Parties for a 1 year old are generally for the parents.  If budget is an issue, but the money you are able to spend away in a 1 year CD and do a nice party at age 2, or even 3.

  3. It really depends on how much you want to spend.  For about $500 (maybe a little less), you can have a nice party at the Franklin Institute, and you can bring in food and a cake.  You can also look into the Academy of Natural Sciences; but since he his turning 1, you may want to try the Please Touch Museum.
