Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick does not want to answer questions about his playing style
Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback, Michael Vick, believes that his actions speak louder than words and that’s why he does not want to answer questions about his playing style.
His critics can see him playing in the upcoming National Football League (NFL) season and judge his performance, but the quarterback is getting annoyed by repeated questions about his playing style.
It is pertinent to note that Eagles started last season as one of the Super Bowl contenders, but they failed badly and were not even able to reach the playoffs.
Vick’s performance was not up to the mark as he continued dealing with different injuries. He was able to play only 13 games and struggled in most of the games with his pass accuracy.
This time around, Eagles will again enter the season as one of the Super Bowl contenders and Vick’s performance will be crucial for the team’s success.
Vick has admitted that his performance was not very good last season, but he does not see any point in responding to the questions related to the strategy he is going to adopt in the upcoming season as far as his playing style is concerned.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, he said:
“I really don't think I need to discuss what type of game I'm going to play. It's going to be what it's going to be. It seems like the questions are becoming repetitive, and I'm tired of answering it because the only thing we can do is wait and see if I'm
going to play a more disciplined game. There's not too much more to say or to talk about."
One of the main reasons behind Vick’s injuries is the long period of time he takes before throwing the ball after receiving a snap.
The time allows the opponents to move towards him in order to register a sack and even if he throws the ball before the defensemen approach him, the quarterback generally ends up taking hits.
Vick does not want to talk about that either. He said:
“There's no reason to keep digging and to [be] talking about it and saying, 'Change your style. Are you holding the ball too long?' I'm over that.”
It is apparent that Vick is annoyed, but he will only be able to silence his critics by displaying better performance this year.
