Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick wants to end season positively – NFL News
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is looking forward to ending the season on a positive note.
Eagles have gone through ups and downs in this season, winning only four and losing 11 games.
With this record they are unable to reach the playoffs. Vick seemed anxious about the next game, as he wants to win the final game of the season.
Eagles will play their next game against their National Football Conference (NFC) East rivals New York Giants on Sunday, December 30.
Eagles were good during their first matchup with Giants, on September 30. They defeated Giants by 19-17.
According to official website of Eagles, Vick has hoped to learn from this year’s failures.
He said:
“The thing you have to do is just learn from the situation and figure out what you have to do moving forward to get better and for the organization and for us as players, just figure out how we can maximize our time in the NFL."
Earlier, the veteran quarterback played well against Giants, and completed 19 of 30 passes for 241 yards and scored a touchdown.
Vick has missed six games in the season after getting concussed in Week 10 game against Dallas Cowboys.
He was replaced by rookie Nick Foles. Foles broke his hand in last game against Washington Redskins and was placed on injured reserve.
Foles’ injury has given Vick another chance to play a game for Eagles and prove himself a healthy and experienced player.
Vick is up for giving his best against the defending champions, who are already struggling to make the postseason. Vick said:
"You have to go out there and do it again and make it happen, and I'm pretty sure we have the tools in this locker room to do it. They're going to be excited on their side. They have a lot to play for; we do as well, so you know it's going to make for a
great game."
Vick has completed 185 of 316 passes for 2,165 yards and scored 11 touchdowns with nine interceptions in nine games he has started in this season.
