Philadelphia Flyers’ Jaromir Jagr leaves decision for next season on performance in Playoffs –NHL
Jaromir Jagr has always been known as one of the best players to ever have graced the sport of ice hockey and luckily for his fans, he will most likely be playing next season as well after signing on for one year before the 2011-2012 National Hockey League
(NHL) regular season kicked off.
Jagr’s comeback was one of the most anticipated events of the 2011 offseason and now, with him announcing a comeback again next year, the excitement just keeps building up.
One thing that might be a bump on his way to re-signing with Philadelphia Flyers or possibly even any other team in the league would be his performance in the current playoffs. Nevertheless, right now, Jagr is just focusing on his playing in the postseason
and wishes to think about whether to stay or go after it all comes to an end.
"I want to play because I love the game and I believe no matter how old you are you still can learn as long as you love the game and as long as you are willing to work hard," Jagr said. "You can learn even when you turn 50. It doesn't matter what kind of
job you have, you always can learn if you're willing to do it. "I know I am going to play. I don't know where I'm going to play, but it doesn't matter because I love the game. Right now I'm here right now and I just want to get ready for the playoffs."
The 40-year-old legend spent three seasons playing in Russia after making a sudden comeback to the North American hockey league. He joined a team that he had never played for in his NHL career, the Philadelphia Flyers, and had a spectacular season with 54
points (19 goals, 35 assists) in 73 games played.
At the moment, it is pretty clear that Jaromir Jagr does want to continue playing but it is not sure whether he will be staying with Philadelphia Flyers or looking for a position somewhere else. If Flyers manage to take the cup this time around, that would
make it a whole lot easier to determine where he will be going.
