Philadelphia Flyers host the New York Islandersin their fourth and final meeting of the season - NHL Previews

The first game of Thursday will be hosted by the Philadelphia Flyers as they are up against the New York Islanders at the Wells Fargo Arena.
This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides out of the six scheduled meetings due to take place between the two sides.
The Flyers have dominated the first three games winning each of them 6-1, 2-1 and 3-2 respectively.
Flyers' Sergei Bobrovsky has scored during each of the three meeting while Andreas Nodl has scored three goals in the three games that have taken place so far.
The Flyers have dominated the games when it comes to playing the Islanders as they have the last 18 of the 19 games against the Islanders.
However, the Flyers came across a defeat in their last game against the Coyotes.
They lost the game 3-2 in overtime but still maintain a nine points lead at the top of the Eastern Conference ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Islanders on the other hand have also come up with some good performances that have seen them winning six out of their last eight games. The recent form still keeps them in the running for the play-offs.
Islanders still have an outside chance of making it into the cut as they are 12 points behind the Carolina Hurricanes who are in the final play-off position as they have 21 games still to play.
Matt Moulson scored his sixth goal in three games for the Islanders against the Toronto Maple Leafs this past Tuesday.
However, they haven’t been in the top forms as they lost their fourth game as they lost this game 2-1. The Islanders had a good record going into the games as they scored three or more goals in the last nine consecutive games.
"I don't think we worked as hard as we could," Moulson said. "That's basically it. You're not going to have great plays every single power play, but you have to work. All of us, I don't know if we worked as hard as we could have."
The Islanders have played 61 games in the season so far out of which they have won 24 games in regulation time, seven games in overtime and scored a total of 53 points.
On the other hand, the Flyers have played 60 games out of which they have won 39 games in regulation time, six games in overtime and scored a total of 84 points.
The game against the Phoenix was only the second time that the Flyers lost the game after leading the game at the end of the first period.
This past Tuesday, the Coyotes put up quite a show and won the game 3-2 in overtime.  Captain of the Coyotes Shane Doan scored the winning goal in overtime.
"I thought maybe in the third we came out a little bit flat after they scored that goal (to tie the game 1-1)," coach Peter Laviolette said. "For the most part, I think we fired 75-to-80 shots on the net and we hit the pipe a bunch. It was just one of those
nights where it wasn't going in. You can't seem to get it or put it away. You feel like you earned two and your lucky to get one."
