Philadelphia Flyers’ injured forward player Claude Giroux getting the neck treatment in Atlanta
Claude Giroux, a professional ice hockey player from Canada, who plays in the National Hockey League (NHL) for Philadelphia Flyers, is getting the treatment on his neck, for the injury that he suffered from while he was playing in German league.
24 year old Giroux usually plays for Philadelphia Flyers but he was playing in the German because of the NHL lockout and was representing the team of Eisbären Berlin in Germany. The young player was in top form when he suffered the injury as he had already
scored four goals and 15 assists for a total of 19 points in just 9 games. He was suffered the injury in a game on the 16th on November.
According to the agent of player he is doing really good and recovering well after getting the treatment. There is good news for the fans of the player that he has not suffered concussion and would not take as much time as it was expected for him to recover.
Speaking to CNSPhilly.com, Pat Brisson, the agent of the player made it clear that he has talked to the player in Germany and made it sure that Giroux is fine and doing well. He assured that there is nothing to worry about it as he said,
“There is nothing wrong here, Claude is doing great. I don’t speak lightly. I’m not one of those who would speak from one side of my mouth”.
The forward player, who plays as a winger and sometimes also plays as centre, is being treated by Dr. Ted Carrick at the Carrick Institute at Life University in Marietta, Georgia.
Brisson revealed that he was called by the player as soon as he got hurt, as he said,
“Claude called me the night he got hurt, I talked to Peter Lee and I asked him [for Claude] to take a break and after what happened to him [last season in Philadelphia].
The agent also showed satisfaction on the doctor and the treatment as he added,
“I know so much about neck and head injuries now, I realized how much the neck is important. Dr. Carrick is a great doctor who sees a lot of our players.”
