Philadelphia Phillies lose to Detroit Tigers 4-12 – MLB Recap
Philadelphia Phillies defeated by the Detroit Tigers 4-12 in the third game of their three-match regular series encounter on July 28 at Comerica Park in Detroit.
The Tigers played wonderfully and won with great style. They played very well and ease the Phillies with a good margin.
"We got some benefits today, They struggled a little bit defensively, and a little bit throwing strikes," Leyland said.
Tigers’ batters showed great temperament on the plate and rattled the Phillies’ pitching roster. Centre fielder Austin Jackson started well for the Tigers and scored two runs on two hits. He played well on four at bats while he maintained his slugging percentage
of .397.
"It's hard, man. It's tough, We're not playing good baseball right now. It's embarrassing to see that," Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz said.
Centre fielder Don Kelly also performed well and played with big heart. He consistently scored and helped his team win an important game of the series. He scored two runs on two hits while he ran for one RBI as well on his consistent slugging percentage
of .378.
"I called strike one and he began to argue balls and strikes. I warned him to stop, but after the second pitch, he began to argue balls and strikes again," Fairchild said.

Along with batters, the Tigers pitchers also performed wonderfully and helped their team win an important game of the series.
Starting pitcher Rick Porcello played well and pitched intelligently on the mound. He pitched six solid innings and allowed three runs on seven hits. He did well with his swinging deliveries as he struck out three batters on 4.49 ERA.
