Philadelphia Phillies to face Houston Astros at Bright House Field in Spring Training opener-MLB
As Philadelphia Phillies unveil their 2013 Spring Training schedule, they will be playing against Houston Astros at Bright House Field in the opener. Apart from the Astros, the names of all those teams that will be visiting the Phillies in Spring Training
have also been revealed.
Both the Phillies and the Astros had a terrible time in 2012 Major League regular season. They piled up losses as they never saw their players putting them into a position where they could claim the top positions on the table.
While the Phillies managed to record face saving victories late in the season, the Astros were a failure all through the year.
It will be interesting to see as to how these two teams fight in the Spring Training opener.
The Phillies have a point to prove following their dethroning from the National League East Division in the season. They have won the Division title in the last five years.
An inability to defend the title has resulted into a huge disappointment of the fans. In light of this, they will be preparing rigorously in the offseason and Spring Training to make sure they bring cheers back on the faces of their fans.
The Phillies top the list of the clubs in terms of the attendance in the season. Fans watched their matches in the stadium despite the fact that more often than not they witnessed the defeat of the Phillies. They kept coming in the hope that the Phillies
will rise somewhere down the line and will end up qualifying for the post-season.

In particular the manager Charlie Manuel is h**l-bent to make sure the Phillies reinstate their dominance in the Division.

He will like to take Spring Training as the platform to identify loop-holes and fix them.
