Philadelphia slang (salty)?

you see my boyfriend is from philly and while on the phone one of his friends called me salty!! what does this mean?? thank you

  1. In Chicago, "salty" means you were irritable or upset about something.


  2. I agree with the "attitude" thing.  

  3. Means you have a little attitude on you.  

  4. Someone usually says it after an argument, when you've both been fighting very hard for your side of the argument and the other person finally proves you wrong, he'll say, "So now you're feeling salty!" It basically means you've realized you were wrong about something and now you feel dumb about it.

    That's what it means in Philly anyway. The attitude thing might be true in other places.
