The Bayern Munich skipper has accepted his team’s failure in their last game against Freiburg and is hopeful of a strong comeback.

by the relegation stricken club. Freiburg kept Bayern at bay and held them to a 0-0 draw against the run of play.
Bayern now find themselves third on the league standings with 45 points from 22 games, four points short of the current leaders, Borussia Dortmund. Last year’s relegation contenders, Borussia Monchengladbach, are also one point
clear of the Munich giants which is certainly a concern for Jupp Heynckes’ men.
While talking to the official club website, the 28-year-old further added:
"We did not invest enough in the first half. We weren’t prepared to run hard enough, we weren’t aggressive enough, we didn’t show up in fact.”
Lahm admitted that his side is in a pressure situation and will have to get their act together, if they want to become this season’s champions. He mentioned that Bayern’s form is a big worry at the moment and admitted that the
team needs to be consistent in order to challenge for the major honours.
"We have plenty to discuss over the next few days. The result is a huge setback. Before the weekend, it was in our own hands, but we’ve thrown away that position now. I am not so much worried about the league table as about our
performance though. If we continue to play like we did today, it will be very hard to win the Bundesliga title," Lahm concluded.
Bayern’s closest title rivals, Borussia Dortmund, Borussia Monchengladbach and Schalke all registered wins this past weekend, putting further pressure on the Bavarian giants.
The Reds will next be in action against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 in the UEFA Champions League on February 22 and will return to league action against Schalke on February 26.
