The Bayern Munich duo is disappointed not to have claimed all three points against Werkself and is looking forward to winning against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Basel-c39079 in the UEFA Champions League.
Bayern Munich are left with an outside chance of winning this season’s Bundesliga after going down to Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend. Both teams met on Saturday, March 03, at the BayArena with Werkself winning by a 2-0 margin.
This defeat has left Bayern seven points short of reigning champions, Borussia Dortmund, who are 10 games away from retaining their crown.
The Reds’ skipper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929, expressed his disappointment at the loss. He opined that his side has been below par since the winter break which is a major cause of concern. Lahm admitted that Bayern are no way near to what they
were prior to going into the mid-season break and has admitted that the results have been poor.
While talking to the official club website, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 international further added:
"The defeat really hurts. I don't know what we're doing wrong. It's painful watching us miss so many chances. We're lacking that little bit of luck. Things aren't going well, especially away from home. We're dropping points all
over the place."
On the other hand, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 also showed his displeasure at Bayern’s recent loss in the Bundesliga. He stated that the team is giving its hundred percent but unfortunately the results have been disappointing.
Robben insisted that the Reds were outstanding in the first-half against Werkself and should have gone into the lead before half-time. He thought that his team were unlucky to finish on the losing side.
The Dutchman also conceded the title hopes and urged Bayern to concentrate on getting back to winning ways as they are still alive in the UEFA Champions League and the German Cup.
"When we were top of the league, all our shots seemed to go in. In the first half we played really well and created some good chances, but the ball didn't end up in the net. They're the kind of games you end up losing," Robben
concluded.
Bayern are currently second in the league standings with 48 points from 24 outings and will next take on Hoffenheim at home on Saturday, March 10.
