Bayern Munich players, Philipp Lahm and Franck Ribery, have heaped praise on new manager Pep Guardiola. The duo has claimed that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Barcelona-c39078 boss has his own way of doing things and that they are looking forward to
play under him in the next season.
Guardiola has been handed the team after Jupp Heynckes announced his retirement at the end of the previous season. The German led the club to an amazing treble comprising of the UEFA Champions League, the German Bundesliga and
the DFB-Pokal.
Lahm claimed that every manager has a new way of doing things and Pep is not different. He admitted that the players are enjoying the way the training sessions are taking place and is confident about the performance of the team
in the next season. He admitted that Guardiola is a brilliant manager and playing under him would be a great honour for his team.
“Every trainer and their backroom staff do things differently. There's always something new when a new coach comes in. Team talks, training - it's all new. [...My] first impressions are really positive. He communicates really well
in German and fills in the gaps in English. We're looking ahead with great optimism,” the German international was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Ribery stated that the players are extremely motivated and every individual is itching to perform to his fullest when the new season begins. He added that Guardiola also speaks good German which helps the cause.
He is confident that the team is heading in the right direction and is hopeful of further improvement.
“Guardiola is unbelievably motivated. It's great for the players. He's completely committed [...] He speaks really good German, which isn't at all easy. Before we came out for training, he spoke to us in a very positive manner,”
he concluded.
Bayern Munich are currently one of the strongest sides in Europe and Pep Guardiola will be under immense pressure when he starts next season as expectations will be very high from the UEFA Champions League winning manager. The
Reds have already secured the signing of Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund.
