focused on physical fitness and goal scoring.
The Bayern Munich skipper admitted that he is apologetic for his behaviour and that he had no intention to hurt or cause offense to anyone. He added that he is sorry for any misunderstanding as he just wanted to comment on the
era of the respective managers.
“I did not want to offend Rudi Voller, Jurgen Klinsmann and other people personally. I am sorry. I would like to apologise to anyone affected for any misunderstanding that may have been caused,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The full-back’s comments did not go to well with the current Die Mannschaft manager Joachim Low and the latter has called for an explanation. Lahm had criticized Klinsmann for his negative approach to the game and stated that the
players had to make all the tactical decisions before a match.
“Essentially we only did fitness training under him and there was very little tactical discussion. The players talked among themselves how they would play before a game,” he said about Klinsmann.
Lahm also had some words of criticism for former Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal. He claimed that the Dutchman refused to admit and correct on the mistakes made which is why he could not last long.
“He refused to acknowledge the deficits of his philosophy ...and refused to eliminate them,” he added.
Philipp Lahm has made 81 appearances for the German national team and has scored four goals in the process. The defender was also named as the captain after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-Ballack-c25270 was shown the door.
