Philipp Lahm hails Jupp Heynckes after Bayern’s win over Hertha Berlin in the Bundesliga
Bayern Munich skipper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Philipp-Lahm-c29929 has hailed manager Jupp Heynckes for the club’s brilliant run this season after the team secured another victory against Hertha Berlin over the weekend. He stated that Heynckes’ hard work with
the players has surely paid off and the results are the evidence of it.
The Bavarian giants defeated Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 and Franck Ribery. The club secured its seventh win in the league
this season and are on top of the standings table with 22 points from the nine games played.
Lahm stated that his side played brilliantly against old rivals Hertha Berlin at home and were dominant throughout the course of 90 minutes. He insisted that if the team continues with the same form throughout the season, they
will surely lift the Bundesliga trophy in the end and will be rewarded for the hard work they have put in.
“We were on the ball from the very beginning, which was better than in recent games. We put them under pressure immediately and played aggressively. When we take the lead, it‘s going to be difficult to survive against us. If we
keep performing this way it's going to be difficult to beat us. I see FC Bayern sitting atop the pile come the end of the season,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bundesliga.de.
The German international was all praise for manager Jupp Heynckes and admitted that his appointment this season has been crucial in getting the club back to winning ways after a dismal season last term. He praised the tactician
for finding the perfect combination in defence and attack to make a great team.
“Firstly it's the experience he has with players, with the team and the way in which he implements it. He found the perfect combination of attack and defence,” he concluded.
Philipp Lahm has made 267 appearances for Bayern Munich and has scored 10 goals in the process.
