Bayern Munich travel to India in the first week of January to take part in a farewell exhibition match to honour the services of Bhaichung Bhutia, who ends his career after the leading the Indian national side for ten years. The
match will be played on January 10 at the Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

“I've been almost everywhere, but strangely enough; I've never been to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/India-c750. It is an honour to play in front of thousands of Indians against your team, in your capital city. It is also an honour that Bayern were invited to say
'goodbye' to your football icon, Bhaichung Bhutia,” the defender was quoted as saying in an interview.
The German international heaped praise on Bhutia and voiced his admiration for the player’s great services to Indian football. He wished the striker the best for his future and remained hopeful that these friendly tours continue
to take place every year.
The defender admitted that these matches are surely a great event for the home fans and is a great idea. He remained hopeful that the tour starts a new era of friendship between the two countries.
“All of us at Bayern salute him for his services to football and we wish him the best for the future. I hope our visit to India marks a new era of friendship,” he concluded.
Bayern Munich will return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 on January 11 after playing the match in India and will take on Rot-Weiss Erfurt in their second Friendly fixture on January 15.
The Bavarian giants will face Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga at the Borussia Park on January 20 in hope of extending their three-point lead at the top of the table.
