The German national team tactician, Joachim Low, has omitted skipper Philipp Lahm from his final squad to face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032. Midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has also been forced to miss out due to a collarbone fracture. Low, instead, has called-up

Joachim told that Lahm is an integral member of the squad whether he is playing for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 or Bayern Munich. Low reckoned that the devoted full back deserves a well-earned rest which is the only reason for his omission from the final squad.
He further praised Lahm by applauding his skills and devotion with which he has been serving his country for the past seven years.
Lahm’s omission from the squad has opened doors for Borussia Dortmund’s young left back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcel-Schmelzer-c23530. The 23-year-old ensured a title winning 2010/11 campaign for the Black Yellows and has been in sublime touch this term.

While talking to DFB website on Lahm’s omission, Low further enthused:
"I called Philipp on Thursday. After that I decided not to include him this time. In every season he plays a lot of games, and usually 90 minutes. Therefore, he now will get a break, and I have the possibility of testing alternate left-backs."

The German tactician has urged his side to step up against Netherlands and Ukraine in order to earn a place in the final squad for upcoming Euro 2012, to be held in Ukraine and Poland.
