The Real Sociedad first team head coach shared admitted that the Basque entity have a tough task on their hands as they travel to the Benito Villamarin.
Sunday La Liga action puts Real Betis and Real Sociedad against each other with three very important points on the lime. La Real enter the match on the back of an impressive 2-0 home win against Athletic Bilbao but have their away form to contend with on
the road.
Reflecting on the fixture, Philippe Montanier insisted that Real Sociedad are keeping themselves grounded after the much needed win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554 Bielsa’s men and will look to defend their away record at the Benito Villamarin.
Montanier stated that every week is different and La Real will tackle it with due diligence. However, he asked his charges to continue in the same stead as they did against Los Leones, claiming that they are ‘focused on scoring points away’.
“We were pleased with the win, but our work each week is different,” the witty trainer remarked.
“We played a good match, but the following match must be equal. There is no euphoria in the locker room, we are all focused on scoring points away.”
In their three La Liga games on the road, Real Sociedad have yet to give a good account of their abilities. The Basque entity was humbled 5-1 by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604, while Mallorca and Levante scraped 1-0 and 2-1 victories, respectively.
Montanier admitted that it is hard to secure points on the road, pointing towards the Jornada 6 fixtures that only saw two away victories. He added that La Real are not the only side to suffer in away matches, claiming that other clubs have not managed better
records.
“It's hard to win away,” Montanier declared. “For example, if you look at the last round of fixtures, there were only two away wins - Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. It's hard for us, but for everyone else in the League also.”
With three wins and three defeats from their six La Liga outings, Real Sociedad are 8th in La Liga points table after accumulating 9 points in total. A victory for the Anoeta based outfit can take them as high as 4th in the points table
provided other results go their way.
