Ok so im a little mad right now. I went alla round looking for calling cards and fouund some. the lady said i have to use all of the minutes at one time and they dont carry over. i said that i used telmex before in mexico and it carried over..she said its different in the philippines and you have to use all of it at once. SO...I bought one anyway, and guess what...somewhere along walking out the store and oging to their bakery i lost it. so here i am home w/o a calling card after all that c**p.

are there any websites that are reliable and trustworthy that charge by the minute or something and so that my friend in the PI doesnt get charged either?

thanks

  1. I just use Yahoo! Messenger to make calls to the Philippines.  It's more expensive than calling cards, .20 cents per minute to a cell phone, .16 cents per minute to a land line, but the ease of use makes it worth it.  You just go to your address book in Messenger and click call.

  2. technically the card would carry over the balance but it charges u a fee every time u connect so if u have like $2 left on the card, it wouldnt be worth much anymore. use it at one time or u'll be ripped off ur minutes.

you can use yahoo messenger's phone out service or (my preferred long distance service) skype out.
