I have a Philips FW768P Mini Home Theater system and am trying to hook it up to the tv, so the sound will come out of the speakers. on my tv there is a audio/video input with yellow, white, and red and also an component 2 with red, green, and blue plugins. On the back of the stereo there is a white, and red aux/cdr in, and a red, and white component out. I have tried to hook them up in every which way, and still no sound. the AUV is on on the stereo and stereo mode is on inside the tv menu options.

  1. Hi Brock...

The Phillips FW768 has a line output for just this purpose...

On the rear of the unit are two RCA type connectors "Line Out"...These red and white connectors can be hooked to the "Aux In" of your TV set...

The TV set will have to be set to look for this "Aux In" source which is probably in the menu somewhere...It is often called "TV/Video"...

The Red/Green/Blue "Component" and Yellow "Composite" connections are for video, so they will not be used for this task...

    Happy Listening...CP
