Philips Plasma TV problem

It won't turn on ! When I turn it on there's a clicking noise at the back every 5 - 10 seconds. Any ideas. Cheers

  1. My old RCA projection had a problem like that. It would sound like a heartbeat for a few seconds after I turned it on, and it would never actually come on. I unplugged it for a while, then when I plugged it back in, it was fine. Try unplugging it for a few minutes.

  4. Bad y-drive circuit board.  It will need the y-upper and y-lower drive boards and the y-sustain circuit board.  If it's out of warranty it will be cheaper to replace it.

  5. Have you called Phillips Technical Support?  They will work with you and will troubleshoot over the phone. Most likely the will issue a trouble tickect and will find a dealer near you that will pick up you TV take it to their shop and will most likely fix the problem.

    I had a problem with my TV a month after it was purchased and I called Phillips and they were very good getting me the help. I have not had a problem since.
