Philips voip 841 dual line phone landline connection problem?

Question

My 841 phone will not connect to the landline, either dialing manually or through the contacts folder. The phone rings when receiving a landline call, but after answering the phone nothing happens. Another phone on the same line keeps ringing, but the 841 shows up as answering the call. The battery is fully charged and the handset is connected to the base unit. The Philips manual doesn't have any info on this problem. Is there anyone out there using this phone and has seen this problem?
