Phillies fans?

All I heard about today was the amazing comeback from last night's game and how its Philly's year to win the series. My question is how does one comeback win (as good as it was) do anything to help the Phillies chances of winning in the postseason.....not only does that win put them only 1 game up on the marlins and mets for 1st place, but does the name Joe Carter ring any bells

  1. Because this is the last blow to the Mets. Watch them fade away.

  2. I think people are talking about different things from the game last night, some people are impressed by the Phils and how they managed to, yet again, come from behind and win it but, I've also heard alot about how the Mets BP fell apart last night and how Jerry Manuel should have left Santana in for the 9th inning. Last night's win was just that, amazing, and I was a very happy Phillies fan last night.

I agree with you that predicting the Phils are going to win NL East after just last night's game is not necessarily going to happen, as much as I want them to win, NL East is still a very close race and probably will be until end. What the Phils need to do is take the momentum from last night's game and use that to hopefully get on a winning streak.

  3. all you have to do to a philly fan is say joe carter's name and they cringe and just walk away....one win, just means exactly what you said....its one win.  that is a tight race just like the AL east and unless one team really starts pulling away, it will be a good show down the stretch
