Germany skipper, Philipp Lahm, insists his team are determined to lift the Euro 2012 trophy and are fully focused on beating their next opponents Italy.
The Mannschaft went into the tournament on the back of a few below part performances where they conceded five goals in three matches. Injuries to key defenders mean the rearguard needed an overhaul.

the former Werder Bremen centre-half.
Despite his tender age the Borussia Dortmund defender slotted into the centre-back position comfortably. The defender was solid against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 in particular, and put in commanding performances in the group stages and the quarter
final. Many bookies fancied Germany to clinch the title before the tournament had kicked-off. The Nationalelf however, have lived up to their tag so far.

high. Everyone knows Germany is getting stronger and harder to beat as the tournament progresses.
"We came into the tournament determined to reach the final and nothing has changed. As a team we're growing in confidence. We're getting stronger and stronger as we progress,” he is quoted as saying in an interview.

if they manage to reach the final. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 skipper however is confident his side will beat whichever team they face.
"Our biggest challenge at this tournament still awaits us if we reach the final, but this is a team that will deal with anything that is thrown at us,” he added.
Despite being in a confident mood, Lahm refused to write off DFB eleven’s opponents. He considers Nazionale to be a dangerous side capable of troubling any opposition.
"Of course, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 carry a threat. Pirlo is having a great tournament and is at the heart of everything good about,”
Germany have been extremely impressive in their run to the semi-final but they will have to be humble. Joachim Low’s men cannot afford to get ahead of themselves by thinking of the final, they need to be focused or they could be
in for a surprise from the Azzurri.
