  1. Us.  "We" is the subject of a sentence - it's the noun that is doing the action (verb).  "Us" is the object - it's the noun that's having the action done to it.  In your sentence, Philip is the subject (he's doing the action) so "us" is the object.

    You wouldn't say "Philip phoned we" so equally you wouldn't say "Philip phoned his family and we".
