Phillipe Stark PH1079 watch - Can't get back off...

We purchased the watch in Italy in 2006. After two years of good service it needs a new battery.  We have taken it to 5 different jewelers and none are able to rotate the stainless steel back plate to access the inside of the watch.  Has anyone else had this problem?
