The cord in the back has a few scratches into it, as if dog or cat chewed into it. The tv is only 6 years old, and doesn't need to be replaces. worked up until 2 weeks ago and now when you press power nothing happens. Tried switching outlets and got nothing, worked for a while if you left it unplugged for a few hours and then plug it back in and turn it on. That isn't working anymore, any suggestions. dont really want to take it anywhere its REALLY heavy!

  1. Sounds like you have a thermal intermittent in your power supply.

You don't want to mess with this. It really needs to be looked at by a qualified technician.

Call the store you bought it from and ask them if they can recommend a tech who can come to your house and check it out. It will cost you around $150 for this; but if you want to hold on to the TV, it's your only choice.
