Despite of being his seniors, Idowu and his Swedish counterpart, Christian Olsson, will definitely respect an inform El-Sheryf on the track.
Similarly, in Javelin competitions, it is Christina Obergfoll who is being considered as the favourite for the meet. The reason for this status is because she bagged events in Rome, Eugene, New York and Paris. She will surely depict the right confidence that is essential for emerging at this star-studded event. However, in the presence of rivals like Barbora Spotakova along with Karan Patterson, she will have to make some toiling efforts before emerging on the track.
Athlete spectators in Monaco will look forward to see the women’s High Jump meet, as Croatian Blanka Vlasic will be a part of it. The 27-year-old athlete, who was bestowed upon with the IAAF ‘Athlete of the Year’ award last year, has been displaying mixed form lately. However, just about a few days ago, she marked a record performance at a competition back home and on the basis of which, it is being believed that she will not allow any of her competitors to emerge against her.
Having an event like the Samsung diamond league Hercules meet in hand, she will definitely like to use the opportunity to build-up her form for the upcoming Daegu event.
