  3. You are comparing apples with oranges. Each one is creative in his own field.

  4. Do you mean the artist who throws paint at a canvas and the scientist who creates a vaccine?

Do you mean the artist who has a comprehensive view of the skills necessary for his chosen profession, and the scientist who cheats on the math or fudges the outcome of his experiments?

Neither one is "automatically" more creative. But strict adherence to scientific epistemology leaves little room for "creativity." Such a scientist is a logician, while the artist who paints a realistic-looking face is a metaphysician.

The comparison you look for is in two very different areas of conceptual thinking. They cannot be compared, unless you first define "creativity."

  5. actually....scientists are in fact artists.....and artists are in fact scientists.....

scientists invent...artists also invent.......they both are creative since they create a new product for the world.....artists its perspective.........

  6. and Artist because they create.

The scientist doesn't create then discover and name things.

  7. The artist. While scientists do create in a sense I would not call them creative. They a more observant.

  8. It's completely impossible to compare the two - they can both create beauty and knowledge.

  9. artists use their creativity to produce art works. scientists use their creativity by applying their knowledge of science in order to invent things. both are creative in different ways, but people  think that between the two, the artist is the only one who is creative. People tend to believe that art is parallel to creativity and that anything that has something to do with science has no creativity in it.

this is based purely in what i think and i don't have supporting details or facts to back it up. :P

  10. An artist can take a blank canvas and create the real or imaginary.

The scientist are creative in looking in unexpected places for the reality.

    so it is both.
