Phlebotomist Career?????

What do Phlebotomist do and what do they do the laboratory and outside the laboratory? Pros ans Cons.

u gotta aim higher than that. this is a dumb way to spend your life. you are guaranteed a life of poverty if you become a phlebotomist.

Phlebotomists draw patient's blood when needed for various tests.  Many times people that draw the blood are not only phlebotomists but are medical technologists and therefore they are in charge of setting up and running the tests.  One con is that you don't make as much money as a doctor would.  One pro is that the results that you obtain greatly help the doctor make a diagnosis (75% of doctors' diagnosis come directly from lab work).  You still get to work in the health care field but don't have to spend all that money and time in medical school.
