i love pho, and it's a pretty inexpensive dish. but sometimes i want it at home. Do i need to make it from scratch, or do any asian or regular markets sell the broth pre made. maybe a website online? i was hoping for a quick and easy way to have pho at home. Thanks!

  1. Funny I'm just about to make some pho.  It's super easy if you buy the premade pho paste, and yes you can get it at pretty much any Asian store - sometimes they sell it in regular supermarkets if they have a large ethnic section.  You can order it online here http://importfood.com/cpnr0855.html .  An important part of pho is the condiments you add to it.  I always add fresh thai hot chiles, fish sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sweet thick soy sauce, sriracha chile sauce, and lots of green leafy herbs like cilantro and thai basil.  Hope this helps, enjoy!

  2. =) are you a white girl? if you are, your the first white person i know that knows about pho. yeah its a great dish...go to your local chinatown or you can order the noodles online.  it might not be exactly the same, but using a beef broth would suffice for the soup

just watch some vids on youtube about it

  3. ohh. pho. yum. my mom makes it at home. :D the noddles are EEEEASY to make. it's like instant noodles. you buy some rice noodles/usually at an asian supermarket, and put it in boiling water for like five seconds. in yummy soup of course. the soup is the main(/hard?) thing. it takes forever actually.

edit* actually i can't find another link better than this..the other stuff like on ehow and stuff is quite lame. americanizing our soup dishes. how wrong..
