Phoenix Coyotes plays host to the Vancouver Canucks in the third of their four scheduled meeting this season

The second last game of Tuesday will be hosted by Phoenix Coyotes as they face the league leaders, Vancouver Canucks.
This will be the third out of the four scheduled meetings due to take place between the two teams during the course of the season.
Out of the two games that have taken place, the Coyotes won the first 3-2 while the Canucks stunned the Coyotes in the second game winning 6-0 in the end.
The game was very special for the Canucks as this was goal keeper Roberto Luongo’s 54th clean sheet performance in the National Hockey League and Cody Hodgson scored his first goal in the NHL in his second game.
Coyotes was piling up some brilliant results recently after which there was a sudden loss in the performance.
Coyotes was on the verge of losing its sixth straight game as the Detroit Red Wings had them down and under as they led 4-1 at the end of the second period.
However, the Coyotes came up with a superb performance and scored thrice in the period to level the scores. The game had to be decided in shootout where Radim Vrbata’s proved to be the difference maker as they won the game in the end.
The Canucks are on a five games road trip and this will be their third game. The Canucks was going through some tough times in the season but they have won the two road games so far.
This is the first time they have successfully done this since early February.
Canucks are very strong ahead of the game as they haven’t lost two back to back games since late January and haven’t lost back to back games in regulation time since late November.
Canucks saw themselves winning the game 3-1 against Los Angeles Kings and 3-0 against the Anaheim Ducks.
"We're just having fun out there; Hansen is playing some good hockey right now and Manny's obviously playing great right now," Torres said."We're just keeping it simple, getting pucks deep, nothing flashy, just going out and playing hard."
Both teams have played 67 games during the course of the season with the Canucks winning 42 games in regulation time while the Coyotes have won 34.
There have been nine and 10 overtime for the Canucks and the Coyotes respectively.
Canucks lead the league with 93 points while the Coyotes are in a strong position with 78 points.
The win against the Red Wings could prove to be crucial as they have a chance to move up the league table considering the fact that all of their remaining 15 games are against their own Conference teams.
"We've got to make sure that we use this (win over Detroit) as a springboard, and not just a springboard to winning, a springboard to how we want to play to be successful," Coyotes' coach, Dave Tippett, said.
