Phoenix Mercury 48 vs. Minnesota Lynx 48 - WNBA Game Halftime Analysis
Phoenix Mercury had a four- point lead with just 53 seconds remaining in the second quarter, but Minnesota Lynx reeled off a 6-2 run to end the quarter and as a result, the score is tied at 48-48 at halftime.

Phoenix on the other hand have shot 48.7 percent (19 for 39) from the field, including 55.6 percent (5 for 9) from down town, and 71.4 (5 for 7) from free throw line. They are leading Minnesota 22-14 on the points in the paint so far.
First Quarter
Mercury held a 15-9 lead with 06:19 to go in the first quarter before Whalen countered with two consecutive 3-pointers and followed it with a jumper to put Minnesota ahead by 19-15. Phoenix’s Johnson however responded with a trey and then a jumper to convert the four-point deficit into a 20-19 advantage with 03:27 to go in the quarter.
Augustus then drove to the rim to make it 21-20. With 02:20 to go in the first period, DeWanna Bonner and Penny Taylor hit three-pointers as Phoenix carried a 26-21 lead into the second.
Second Quarter
Trailing by five points after one, Lynx made a marginal comeback in the second quarter and managed to make it a two-point contest, 42-40, with 01:43 to go. Dupree answered with a lay-up to stretch the lead to four points however Minnesota scored eight points in the closing minute of the quarter, capped by Brunson’s four-point spurt, to knot the game at 48, heading into the locker room.
