Phone Charger makes high pitch noises?

I have a LG Voyager and I recently lost the outlet charger so I bought a new one at the Verizon Phone Center for like 25 dollars. All of a sudden I plugged it into the wall and theres this high pitch sound coming from my charger. I tried it on all the outlets and it still makes that sound. I'm scared that it might blow up or catch on fire or something. I really need to get my phone charged, I need it for tomorrow. I just bought the phone charger a month ago and my phone in April. Is the high pitch noise harmless? The charger was expensive and new too.

It's harmless,my moms did it too so we went to the store to get it checked out and the verizon associate said its normal and nothing to worry about.
