So, I am moving next week. I would like to set up high speed internet through Att&t and phone service through a VOIP company. However, Att&t does not want to set up the internet service because there is no phone service set up. i can't set up phone service through the VOIP because I have no high speed internet set up. The only thing I can think of is to set up phone and internet through the phone company and then cancel the phone service once I get the internet set up....any other suggestions?

Also, who would you suggest for VOIP service. i am debating between Vonage and voip.com....

  1. if you really wanna easy way out...get MagicJack in the meantime....its yours and you can move anywhere you want to!!

its only 29.99 the first time and 19.99 for the second year....!

    http://www.magicjack.com/site/index.html

I hat the same problem when I move....slow service....no phone....I about lost it....then I just used my laptop and the MagicJack...in an empty house!!

just when you need a phone the must, during and after you move...right!!!

  2. Once you get your highspeed Internet activated, I recommend InPhonex, CallCentric as home phone replacement VoIP services. (links are in my profile).

Both services are very low cost and more importantly there are No contracts, no obligations, no commitments, no minimums - strictly pay-as-you-go.

InPhonex can provide your 2-line ATA telephone adapter for extra $64.95 (if already have a Router) or an ATA/Router combo for $79.95.

But, for CallCentric you need to already have your own ATA adapter (I have my own Linksys PAP2T).

I have my ATA line 1 configured with InPhonex and line 2 configured for CallCentric.

InPhonex has LiteLine for $7.95/month or Unlimited USA/Canada package for 24.95/month (no contracts or commitments).

CallCentric has Personal Unlimited-incoming number for $6.95/month and Unlimited USA/Canada out-calling for $19.95/month.  No contracts or commitments.
