k my boyfried lives in mighigan i live in newyork

so when he calls me long distance on a house phone 2 my house phone does it show on the bill????

  1. It shows on the bill for whoever pays for the call. This applies to standard wired telephones. Cell phones work the billing a little differently. If he dials you, he pays, it goes on his bill. If he calls collect and you accept the charges (one of the most expensive kind of call), then the call appears on your bill. Bear in mind, the phone company keeps a record for EACH number, that a call was made from and the number a call was made to. It is these records of calls that Dubya got from the phone companies recently without a warrant, and congress just passed a bill which makes the phone companies immune from prosecution for releasing this information. Essentially, Dubya spied on people using these records, and contradictory to the 4th amendment, there were NO warrants involved, which to some makes this an illegal search which can be prosecuted under the law, but that possibility no longer exists because congress passed another law making the phone companies immune. So, YES, there is a record of the call for BOTH numbers, but it only shows on the bill of the one who pays for the call..
