iknow it was cause he was cheating but what made the guy pissed to do it?

If he left the phone booth, the guy on the other end would kill people, and it would look like it was Colin Farrell's character doing the killing because he had touched a gun put in the phone booth therefore putting his fingerprints on it, lol.
