Phone/contract question?

ok, i have at&t and ma contract just ended. i want to change it to verizon and get a new phone. but im leaving to korea in december. ma mom said the contract is at least for 2 years and if i only use it for 4 month, i have to pay like a lot, so she said no. is it possible to get a contract for like only 4~5 month?

You would probably be better off seeing if you can get a prepaid/pay-as-you-go phone instead. That way, you only pay for the calls you make and you're not tied into any contract period.

You will, though, have to pay for a new phone.
