Phone in pool?

Question

I dropped my cell phone in the pool.

Does anyone know what i am supposed to do to make sure that its ok. Water got into the screen.

if you can't turn it on then it's obviously broken.  you'll have to get a new one.  try looking on amazon for cheap phones.  I hope it wasn't an expensive one.  or you could just use someones old phone and switch your sim card into the new phone.

If you open it and leave it in the sun for a while it will work again!!!! The more sun it gets the sooner it will dry out and work again. Make sure the phone is open meaning if it is a flip phone the screen is showing.

Happened to me except my phone went through the washing machine. :(  But I let it sit and like a month later it worked again. Sorry if you can't wait that long!!!!!

unfortunately, it's a gonna. do you have insurance? was it bought on a credit card?

some companies will give you another phone (used) for $50

i know someone who dropped their cell in a pool also and just waited to let it dry and it still works. its a little scratched but it still works.

wait 48 hours and see if it dries out

use a cool hair dries to try to dry it be sure to move the dryer back and forth so you wont fry the phone you just want to dry it not cook it

More than likely it is toast.

Water + Cell Phone = Bad Combination..

put it in a bag of (uncooked) rice.

that should suck out all of the moisture.

if it still doesnt work,

you need a new phone.
